Walt Disney Pictures presents and all new movie for fans of The Little Mermaid - Ariel’s Beginning. Coming to Disney DVD on August 26, 2008 this new movie tells the story of how it all began for Ariel - back before she met Prince Eric, when music was banned from the underwater world of Atlantica. With the help of her friends, Sebastian and Flounder and her six sisters Ariel attempts to restore music, friendship and love to the Kingdom.
An all-star cast returns for this latest movie - including Jodi Benson - the voice of Ariel - and Samuel E. Wright - the voice of Sebastian.
The video below gives a peek at the surprises, breath-taking animation and all-new songs.
The latest Walt Disney Pictures animation is due in movie theatres on November 26, 200 (US release date). Bolt is a movie about a dog who plays an heroic pup in a tv show. When he is accidentally shipped from Hollywood to New York City Bolt has to find his way home with the help of a manky old cat and an overweight hamster - not realising that he doesn’t actually have extraordinary powers!
With John Travolta, Miley Cyrus, Susie Essman and Mark Walton providing the voices behind the animated characters Bolt is sure to be a hit for the 2008 holiday season.
Here’s a sneak peek:
Unfortunately, us Brits have to wait until February 13, 2009 to see it!
To celebrate the start of the summer holidays, Disney Cinemagic sent 10 skilled artists down to Blackpool Beach to create a record-breaking piece of beach art.
The team started work at 4.30am to create a 40,000 square foot picture of Monsters Inc character Sulley. The finished picture was the equivalent of three Olympic sized swimming pools before it was swallowed by the tide at just 10.45am.
Toy Story Midway Mania, the highly anticipated 4D video game attraction is now open at Walt Disney World’s Hollywood Studios.
In this one-of-a-kind attraction guests ride through a series of Midway (carnival) games themed around a number of Toy Story characters. A unique pull string canon is used to launch projectiles at various targets and easter eggs, and as in the best carnival games, virtual points win virtual prizes! A pair of 3D glasses adds that extra Disney dimension - and brings it all to life.
The theme of the attraction? Andy has a new game called Midway Mania, and when Andy leaves the room all of the toys spring to life - once you, the guest, are shrunken down to toy size you get to play the game with them.
I’ve heard fantastic things about this attraction and can’t wait to experience it myself. For more information check out the great review and fun facts over at The Disney Blog.
