On July 2, 2008 I reported that Disney’s Animal Kingdom had welcomed a new baby elephant into the herd - and the newest addition to the park now has a name.

Disney officials wanted to give the baby an appropriate name - and as he is the largest calf born in the park they looked to Kenya’s largest national park for inspiration - and named the calf Tsavo (pronounced sah-vo).
