It always strikes me as odd when we’re driving down World Drive on the way to Walt Disney World that there’s a huge Nickelodeon Hotel on what I always think of as Disney property! I always think it would be better sited somewhere Universal Studios - but anyway- having recently seen some photos of the inside of this hotel it looks like a great place to stay with kids - and its about to get better…

On June 24 the Nick Hotel will be having the grand opening of its new 4D theatre - this new experience will offer shows for all ages and submerge guests in wind, water, bubbles, scent and much more as they journey along with the likes of SpongeBob SquarePants and Patrick StarFish.

From the search for a runaway pickle to an extreme log ride and a trek through a 4D Funhouse there are plenty of movies to experience. Pricing starts at $9.95 for one experience, $12.95 for two and $14.95 for three.

“This new 4-D Experience will make a wonderful addition to the Nickelodeon Family Suites in Orlando.” Fidel Hinojosa, vice president of operations explained. “SpongeBob SquarePants and the 4-D Experience are a natural fit for our world-class family hotel. We know this magical attraction will keep families entertained and laughing for years to come.”

I only hope that this attraction is open to the general public rather than just hotel guests as it sounds like a great way to spend an afternoon if you need to get out of the rain!
