The best roads into Disney World - Sherberth Road
By Mrs S • Apr 23rd, 2008 • Category: Planning, TipsIf you are staying off site then it is worth seeking out the best roads into Disney World.
From the West end of the 192 there is a secret back door onto Walt Disney World property - Sherberth Road.
The guidebooks will tell you to drive to the parks using the I4 - but if you drive East along the 192 and take a left onto Sherberth Road you can access the parks much more quickly.
The map above shows you the location - once you’ve turned onto Sherberth Road follow the road until you reach a set of traffic lights. Turning left will take you to Animal Kingdom Lodge. Turning right will take you onto the Osceola Parkway.
If you are heading to Animal Kingdom then get into the left lane and prepare to do a sharp U-turn when the sign for Animal Kingdom appears.
For all other parks you need to take a left at the traffic lights further on up the Osceola Parkway.
To retrace your steps at the end of the day follow signs for Animal Kingdom and then the Lodge and take a left at the traffic lights just before the Lodge.
If you are staying in a villa in the Formosa Gardens subdivision or other villas towards the West end of the 192 this shortcut will help you get to the parks much more quickly.

The Sherbeth Road shortcut saves us at least 10-15 minutes a morning. We never took it home, because we weren’t sure of the directions back.
Thanks!
