This was another book that I picked up for the Classics Challenge, and I can’t actually believe I’ve reached the wise old age of 32 without reading it! I always thought Lord of the Flies was just a book about a group of young boys stuck on a desert island — but as is usually the case with esteemed classics it is so much more than that!

Every once in a while Dew throws out a perfect Weekly Geeks challenge; and this in one of those weeks. I finished up Lord of the Flies last month and because I then got struck down with flu I never got around to reviewing it. So for this week’s Weekly Geek I am choosing challenge number 12; and I’d like you to ask me questions about Lord of the Flies. Just post your questions down there in the comments and then next week I’ll write an interview style review post answering them all.

This classic isn’t as onerous as some of the others I’ve picked up so I’ll be dedicating all of my efforts to this one rather than trying to juggle two reads this week!

I’m reading Cathy’s Book because… I’m in the middle of revising for an exam and need something light to read between study sessions - plus I really want to hit that 75 book target so from here on in I’m picking the shortest books on the shelf!
