The Sound of Butterflies is an opulent and intriguing tale which I highly recommend; and with a debut as compelling as this I can’t wait to see what King has to offer next.

Hosseini once again weaves a masterpiece; set against the monstrosities of war is the tale of a mother daughter relationship which shows that love and hope will out in the end.

Both heartwarming and heartbreaking at the same time as this book covers the sister’s reaction to their mother’s death, and the resulting bond that ties them together much tighter than before.

Glitz is crammed full with glamour — but underneath the glitz and designer labels is a rip-roaring tale of four girls who come to realise the true value of themselves and their family.
