Readathon | 08.22 update
Morning/afternoon/evening fellow readers - how is your readathon going? I stopped reading just after 8pm last night, watched some Saturday TV then headed to bed, hoping to awaken refreshed and ready for the final straight this morning. Unfortunately, I found myself up with the lark feeling awful so I’ve eaten breakfast spent an hour reading and now I’m heading back to bed. Hopefully I’ll be back fighting before the 24 hours comes to a close.
I picked up Before I Die last night for a bit of light hearted reading after A Thousand Splendid Suns, boy was I wrong with that assumption! It was a short read, but it was heartbreaking and I spent the last twenty minutes with tears streaming down my cheeks. If you’ve not heard of this book please go and get hold of a copy; it’s my novel of 2008 and I implore you all to read it.
Catch up with you all later.

I enjoyed, Before I Die as well, I look forward to your review about it. (I really liked the way the paragraph formatting started to fall away towards the end, really worked for me.)

Omg, I loved Before I Die!!! It’s so sad though, isn’t it? Especially the end, which I think is so beautiful and poignant. I haven’t read A Thousand Splendid Suns yet, (I really want to though!) but I really like The Kite Runner. I hope you feel better soon, and congrats on getting this far in the read-a-thon! =D
