Weekly Geeks | My Top Ten books published in 2008
For this week’s Weekly Geeks challenge Dew has asked us to list our top books published in 2008.
Despite the fact that I undertook a 50-book challenge this year to reduce my TBR mountain I have read quite a few books that were hot off the presses this year. Here’s my top ten of 2008 (in no particular order):
- Body Surfing – Anita Shreve
- Nineteen Minutes by Jodi Picoult
- The God of Animals by Aryn Kyle
- The Girl Who Stopped Swimming by Joshilyn Jackson
- Perfect on paper by Maria Murnane
- Maggie Again by John D. Husband
- What if…? By Steve N. Lee
- Breaking Dawn by Stephenie Meyer
- Second Glance by Jodi Picoult
- Glitz by Louise Bagshaw
Note: these books were all published in the United Kingdom in 2008
What are your top ten books published this year?

You know what? I haven’t read any of these and so I’m obviously getting more and more behind… I have recently placed a list of my favourites on Flashlight Worthy: http://www.flashlightworthybooks.com/Places-Ive-Been-Through-Books-Ive-Read/204 However, I’d better check on the books that were published this year…

Clare, I can’t tell you what an absolute thrill it is to see ‘What if…?’ listed in your top ten books of the year! From your review, it’s obvious you thoroughly enjoyed it, but I hadn’t appreciated just how much.
This top ten placing is a wonderful surprise that has really brightened up a very dismal Saturday!
Thank you,
Steve
