Book Blowout | Let’s try that feed again

By Mrs S • Jul 2nd, 2008 • Category: Book Blowout

I was having big problems with yahoo pipes - so I thought I’d give Shyftr a try - but once again I think I’ve lost some feeds along the way! I’ll try and add them over the following days (I just lost 2 hours of reading time plugging in the once I’ve done today!)

Shyftr stands for SHare Your Feeds TogetheR and is a social network feed reader. You can subscribe to blogs and see what blogs your friends are subscribed to. It’s free and easy to sign up - just head to www.shyftr.com and pop in a username and password. Once you’re all set up you can search for me - Mrs S - using the search function - and then you can see my feeds - which are all related to the Book Blowout (I’m going to keep my usual feeds over at Google Reader for the time being).

Let me know how you get on.

    1. Ok, I’m on there as twiga92. Can I import these feeds into my Google Reader like I could with Yahoo Pipes?

    2. Unfortunately I don’t think you can - the yahoo pipe made a feed of the feeds - this one is just a reader like google reader. It’s kind of a pain to have to use two readers - but then there are so many feeds in this one it may drown you if you put them into google!

If anyone is a yahoo pipe expert could they get in touch - I had some problems where a feed within the pipe was receiving a hit every time someone viewed my blog - even if they didn’t visit that site! I’m pretty sure that’s a bug of some sort.
