Book Blowout | Let’s try that feed again
By Mrs S • Jul 2nd, 2008 • Category: Book BlowoutI was having big problems with yahoo pipes - so I thought I’d give Shyftr a try - but once again I think I’ve lost some feeds along the way! I’ll try and add them over the following days (I just lost 2 hours of reading time plugging in the once I’ve done today!)
Shyftr stands for SHare Your Feeds TogetheR and is a social network feed reader. You can subscribe to blogs and see what blogs your friends are subscribed to. It’s free and easy to sign up - just head to www.shyftr.com and pop in a username and password. Once you’re all set up you can search for me - Mrs S - using the search function - and then you can see my feeds - which are all related to the Book Blowout (I’m going to keep my usual feeds over at Google Reader for the time being).

Ok, I’m on there as twiga92. Can I import these feeds into my Google Reader like I could with Yahoo Pipes?

Unfortunately I don’t think you can - the yahoo pipe made a feed of the feeds - this one is just a reader like google reader. It’s kind of a pain to have to use two readers - but then there are so many feeds in this one it may drown you if you put them into google!
If anyone is a yahoo pipe expert could they get in touch - I had some problems where a feed within the pipe was receiving a hit every time someone viewed my blog - even if they didn’t visit that site! I’m pretty sure that’s a bug of some sort.
